Mon., February 12 - HOOVER BUSINESS EXPO. Small businesses in the Hoover neighborhood (and Hoover residents who own businesses not necessarily in the Hoover area) are invited to man a table to promote their products and services. To reserve your table, contact Peggi Ridgway, peg@wordpix.com - please use "Hoover Expo" in the subject line.

This is always a popular event. This year's event will NOT be held at the school, but will be held at the 29th and Yale Church of Christ, where there is ample room, good sound system, etc. Enter at the BACK door on the East side.

6:30 pm on February 8. Feel free to bring a door prize or snack. You will be warmly welcomed!

Mon., March 12 - Family Safety Fair, to be held at the 29th and Yale Church of Christ, 6:30 pm. Joining us will be Walgreen's, the American Red Cross, MedXpress and others who will have tables and giveaways.

Mon., April 9, 2018 - Gardening Made Fun. It's Spring! Bring your ideas, photos and questions for the expert gardeners who will be with us tonight!.

Feel free to bring a door prize or snack. You will be warmly welcomed!

Sat., April 21, 2018 (date is tentative) - Hoover Garage Sales.
Throughout the neighbor, participating residents will hold garage sales. The HNA will do the advertising and put up signs. We only ask that each participant donate a portion of sales to the Association to be used for our neighborhood improvement projects.

Mon., May 14, 2018 - Local College Fair, to be held at the 29th and Yale Church of Christ, 6:30 pm. Joining us will be representatives from our Tulsa area colleges and trade shows.

Mon., July 9, 2018 - Summer Salad Supper,
to be held at the 29th and Yale Church of Christ, 6:30 pm.This is a potluck, there will be no "meeting" other than perhaps a few announcements. Bring a dish to share and just enjoy kicking back and relaxing in a cool environment.

Ed Stutsman is coordinating the Block Captain program for the Hoover neighborhood, and a number of residents have already volunteered to be block captains. For more details, contact:

HELP A CHILD TO READ - Sign up to be a Reading Buddy with a student at Hoover Elementary School, 23rd and Darlington.

READ, DOWNLOAD A MOVIE OR AUDIO BOOK, EXPLORE - Visit our neighborhood public library, Nathan Hale Library, SW corner of 23rd and Sheridan. Find a great book, audiobook or video to challenge your mind. 

PLAY CHESS - Tuesday mornings during the school year - Chess Club, 7:00 to 7:30 a.m., in the Library at Hoover Elementary School. Join other neighborhood adults and children for this fun experience.

ENJOY OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PARK - 29th and Darlington. Comfy benches, a pavilion, tennis and basketball courts, playground equipment, peace and quiet and serene beauty. See our PARK page.
